Camphor is a tropical tree native to Taiwan and has been used extensively for it's fragent and beautiful wood. During the Japanese occupation of Taiwan, the Japanese would log this tree and turn its thick trunks into the most fragrant of essential oils for export. Taiwan became quite well known, and rich, selling this comodity.

Formosa North offers both Powdered Camphor Wood and Camphor Wood Incense Cones grown on our farms in SE Taiwan, we utilize these trees as a natural windbreak as well as habitat creation for our native species. The wood is reclaimed after typhoons and chipped on site, dried and powdered. Cones are formed with water and powder and pressed into molds for drying. Camphor Incense will last 4 years in proper storage.
