Curry leaf is the foliage of the plant known botanically as Murraya koenigii. Belonging to the Rue family (Rutaceae), it is a cousin to other classic foods such as citrus & prickly ash. The leaves of the Curry Leaf Tree are filled with powerfully aromatic essential oils that bring about the pungent, almost burnt, flavor this herb is so renowned for. It is a key ingredient in numerous dishes from from Asia, giving incredible depth of flavors to any number of sauces, gravies and curries.

Formosa North offers whole Curry Leaf grown on our farms in SE Taiwan. The the leaves are harvested by hand, washed, dried, sifted & graded. The whole leaves will last 1-2 years in proper storage, alternatively the leaves may be placed in a freezer for longer shelf life. Fresh Curry Leaves are available year round within Taiwan only. International orders we offer dried whole curry leaves as well as Curry Leaf Powder.
