NOPAL POWDER

Opuntia ficus-indica

Nopal is a fantastic large species of cactus used extensivly in Mexican cuisine. Though the fruits are also eaten, and lovingly refferred to as "Prickly Pears", the leaf part (Cladode) is a popular vegetable. We provide a very high quality powder from these cladodes which can be used in baking, making tortilla, nachoes or just adding to a smoothy or rice for some color!

Formosa North offers powdered Nopal grown on our farms in SE Taiwan. The cladodes are harvested by hand, hand washed/scraped, cut, dried and powdered. The powdered product will last 2 years in proper storage.
